A/L exam results released

177,500 qualify to gain university admission

The results of the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination have been released online, the Department of Examination announced yesterday.

The results can be viewed on the official website of the department: www.doenets.lk and www.results.exams.gov.lk

274,361 candidates sat the examination last year, of which 222,774 were school candidates and 51,587 were private candidates, a media release issued by Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara said yesterday. The total number of students who are eligibe to apply for university admission is 177,588.

Of them 149,964 are school candidates and 27,624 are private candidates. In addition, the results of 420 school candidates and 36 private candidates have been suspended.

The 2024 G.C.E. A/L Examination was held from November 25 to December 31, 2024 at 2,312 examination centres across the country with over 25,000 staff supervising the examination.
