SL Super Series launched for the eighth year

The Sri Lanka Super Series 2025 Championship organised by the Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) launched for the eighth year with the sponsorship of several stakeholder brands of the sports industry.

Sri Lanka Super Series is the only Premier Championship in Motor Racing looked forward to by Drivers and Riders in Sri Lanka. Further, this event has been formed to showcase the exceptional racing talent reaching the pinnacle of championship that has attracted top competitors and spectators. All upcoming racing events will be telecasted live on TV and streams live on YouTube and other media platforms. Shameera Abeynayake, President SLARDAR, speaking about the upcoming Sri Lanka Super Series 2025 said, “This year’s Super Series is a major milestone as it is the most prominent event for the 2025 National Racing Calendar.”

“Unlike the previous years the number of confirmed sponsorships has increased showing that the enthusiasm for motorsports in Sri Lanka has evolved. We look forward to the numbers of competitors and sponsorships will further increase following the official launch.”

“Also, we invite all racing enthusiasts to experience the Super Series racing the roads for the eighth year.”

Thus, this year’s calendar includes the Single Tree Hill Climb in Nuwara Eliya, already completed and the Mahameruwa Rally Cross (Race 1) in Giriulla on April 27. In May, Cavalry Supercross will take place in Kurunegala.

Meanwhile, in June, SLARDAR Supercross – Mahameruwa will take place in Giriulla and Mahameruwa Rally Cross (Race 2) in Giriulla, in August.

In October, the Katukurunda Circuit Meet in Katukurunda (jointly organised with Royal Automobile Club Asia) and in December, Sri Lanka Super Series 2025 Awards Night (dates will be confirmed in due course).
