Isipathana beat Thurstan

Isipathana College retained the WA Rohana Challenge Trophy for the second year when they beat Thurstan College 3-1 in their annual football encounter played at Race Course ground yesterday.

Isipathana took an early 2-0 lead in the first half and Thurstan scored a goal late in the second half through Arul Pradeepa to make it 2-1.

But Isipathana stepped up their game and scored through a penalty by play maker Kamsan to give them victory.

The inter school cricket encounter between Ananda College and Holy Cross College Kalutara ended in a draw at Kadirana yesterday.
