The opening ceremony of the Tamil Section Building of St. Anthony’s National College, Wattala was held at the College premises recently under the patronage of Principal Rev. Fr. I. Mal W. Fernando. It was organised by the Tamil Old Boys’ Association.
There are 600 students studying and 22 teachers in the Sinhala and Tamil medium.
Hunupitiya Kovil Sodirathnam Kurukal, Deputy Mayor, Wattala Pradeshiya Sabah V. Prakash, Wattala Pradeshiya Sabah Members R. Vijayakumar, K. Dharmaratrhnam, S. Sasikumar, A.N.I. Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd Managing Director K.. Udayakumar and Pharmco Industries (Pvt) Ltd Managing Director S. Sivaraja were guests of honour.
Students, teachers, parents, old boys and religious dignitaries were present.
