Toastmasters International President visits Colombo Toastmasters

The President of Toastmasters International, DTM Lark Doley addressed the 19th Educational Meeting of the Colombo Toastmasters Club at the Galadari Hotel on May 28.

A Toastmaster for 25 years, she has achieved the highest recognition in Toastmasters, the ‘Distinguished Toastmaster’ status. The Colombo Toastmasters Club has a 35 year history, being the first Toastmasters Club in South Asia, with a membership of over 84. The Toastmasters movement is now in 143 countries with a membership of 357,000 in over 16,600 clubs spread all over the world. The aim of the Toastmasters movement is to empower individuals to build strong leadership and communications skills. Concluding her address at the Colombo Toastmasters Club meeting, she said, ‘Our organization helps us, ‘Find our voice,’ ‘Find our Leadership’ and ‘Find Harmony’ with each other.’
