Fast bowler Nipun Ransika came into the scene as one of the fastest young bowlers and is a product of P de S Kularatne College who is now 21 years of age. He has played for teams like Colts and Colombo Cricket Club and is also a handy left hand batsman who can swing the long handle if required. His primary role is a bowling all-rounder.
In August 2018 he was named in Kandy’s squad for the SLC T20 Super League and prior to his T20 debut he was named Observer-Mobitel Schoolboy Cricketer 2017. He made his first class debut for Colts Cricket Club in the 2018-19 Premier League tournament which also marked his List A debut.
