Two motorcycle racers, Nipun Dilanka and Sabir Mimshad are currently representing Sri Lanka at the Asia Cup road racing series in Thailand.
They took part in the first race on Friday and will finish the event in the second race today.
The event is part of a three-race series and the second leg of the Asia Cup will be held in Taiwan followed by the third and last leg in the Philippines.
The racers participating are from Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Taiwan, China and Sri Lanka.
At this meet the winners are presented with trophies and the points that the country earns are very important for the upcoming meets.
