Old Sylvestrians cricket Sevens
The Old Sylvestrians Sports Club seven-a-side softball cricket tournament will be held on September 17 at the Police ground.
Only old boys will be allowed to participate and the winners will be presented with a trophy plus Rs. 25,000 according to the organizers.
The runners-up will also be presented with a trophy plus Rs. 15,000 while the man of the match, best batsman, best fielder and best bowler will be presented with trophies and Rs. 5000 each according to the organizers.
Ellepola heads Old Trinitians
Deva Ellepola, who was a top hockey player during his days, was re-elected president of Old Trinitians SC at their AGM held at the Old Trinitians Sports Club.
The school Principal Rev. Fr. Araliya Jayasundara was elected patron and Amitha Nugawela vice patron.
The new committee: President - Deva Ellepola, Vice President - Rajiv Renganathan, Secretary - Fazeel Fawmy, Assistant Secretary - Anton Rajendra, Treasurer - Wije Dambawinna.
The committee consists of Wazeer Muhkthar, Sanjeewan Subramaniam, Krishanthan Subramaniam and Vinothraj Yogarajah.
