The Students’ Union of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya will present Indeewari musical event on January 29, from 7 p.m. at the University Indoor Gymnasium. The event is organised with the aim of raising funds for the ‘Needy Scholarship Fund’ which provides financial assistance to students in the Faculty with financial difficulties. This musical extravaganza will be an unplugged performance by Marians featuring Rookantha, Chandraleka and Kasun Kalhara.
Needy Students Scholarship Fund is the first scholarship initiated by university students for needy university students.
Throughout almost three decades the fund is fortified through many efforts of fund raising and generous donations. Currently more than 30 students of the faculty are benefited annually by the scholarship.
