Leo Burnett appoints new CEO

Advertising firm, Leo Burnett has appointed Arosha Perera as the CEO and Murtaz Tajbhoy as the new Chief Strategy Officer.

The new CEO said that they expect exciting times ahead.

“We have an exciting plan ahead and envisage a better future in terms of the industry. There are growth sectors and we plan to take advantage of these sectors for our company growth. We have realize that a procument kind of understanding of people is necessary. We believe in market integration to connect brands better,” Perera said.

The focus going forward will be to engage more in the technological advancements. New robust digital intervention, better public relationship and media neutral ideas will be the key in this regard. There will be a larger campaign to include all the touch points. We will drive the company forward, he said.

“The company has a team of forward looking and talented people. We expect the growth to come from client’s investments such as digital and consumer engagement.

Our planning unit is really strong and has a sharp focus in the areas of digital, public relations and planning. We will take the agency to the next level from where it stood for the past 18 years,” he said. - SJ
